Wide-bandwidth, CAT6A-compliant high-speed OFC solid-core cable engineered for precisely defined digital signal transmission.

Our first true high-end cable for extremely high-bandwidth, audiophile-quality streaming audio applications, featuring our unique GRUN Coherent Earthing System.

Atlas streaming cables benefit from expertise and experience gained from years of continuing development and evolution of high-speed video and USB audio cables. All Atlas streaming Ethernet cables are tested to and certificated to be compliant to the highest ISO/TIA standards for patch cords.

Digital theory suggests that data is nothing more than a sequence of ‘ones & zeros’ and all that’s required of a cable is to transfer data around the network. While that’s essentially true, it emerges as an overly simplistic perspective when considering high-resolution, low-level signals.

While the OSI 7 layer Ethernet protocol specification covers packet switching, error correction, timing and end-to-end transmission, as in any audio cable there are areas where the selected materials, construction techniques, connectors, and termination methods can all audibly impact the signal integrity.

Optimised insulation displacement, solder-free construction methods produce a continuous high-integrity, fully-shielded signal path which avoids breaks in material continuity which degrade ultimate fidelity.

Atlas use high-purity solid-core OFC conductors, with stable low-loss PEF dielectric, a zinc die-cast RJ45 connector, in a precision-calibrated production process which pays particular attention to maintaining the balance between tight twist ratios and symmetrical twist patterns, minimising signal errors.

Fewer errors means the correction circuitry in the receiving device has less work to do — a high level of error correction can itself introduce more noise extracting and processing the data.

This Mavros cable features the Atlas Grun Coherent Earthing System as an integral part of maximising performance from Ethernet sources, by draining noise away to an independent ground. The Grun connection can be made via the supplied Grun lead with spade tag (connect to your amplifier chassis or grounding post), or for optimum performance, an optional Grun mains adaptor connected to a power socket or mains distribution block.

Noise doesn’t always directly present as hash or interference, but impacts on a DAC’s clock accuracy and error correction circuitry, which in turn compromises fidelity. The practical, audible result is a cleaner audio signal with a wider dynamic range and less of the glare which typically results from high levels of unwanted energy in signal data.

Processing & Shipping Times

Atlas is distributed in the USA and Canada by VANA Ltd. We keep a small subset of standard lengths in stock in our New York warehouse. Online orders are processed within 2 business days. Orders than can be fully or partly fulfilled from our stock will usually ship within 3 business days. You can also inquire about inventory with your local Atlas Cables dealer.

Custom orders and lengths that are not currently in stock will be made to order in Scotland and drop-shipped to your door. These typically ship within a week and arrive to their North American destination within 2 weeks.

Note: Fulfillment times for custom may currently be longer due to the COVID pandemic. Please contact us for an estimate if your order is time-sensitive.
